Adrian Paul Smith

Adrian Paul Smith is a Babcock Injury Lawyers trial attorney whose Louisiana heritage and diverse legal experience shape his unique approach to the law. Born in Bourg, Louisiana, Adrian grew up in a French-speaking household along the bayou, which instilled a deep appreciation for his culture. He completed his undergraduate and law degrees at Louisiana State University, attending the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. His fluency in French led him to study abroad during law school, where he clerked in France and gained a deeper understanding of Louisiana’s civil law roots.

Since his admission to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts in 2018, Adrian’s career has spanned solo practice, insurance defense, and personal injury litigation. Starting as a solo practitioner, he represented clients in civil, family, and criminal cases, igniting his passion for helping those in need. He then transitioned to insurance defense, advocating for large corporations and attending numerous hearings and trials. Before joining Babcock Partners, Adrian practiced personal injury law at a litigation firm in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Now, Adrian focuses on non-standard insurance defense, commercial litigation, and catastrophic personal injury cases. As an injury lawyer in Baton Rouge, his experience defending insurance companies gives him a unique vantage point, allowing him to analyze personal injury cases from multiple perspectives and develop well-rounded strategies. Whether handling car accident claims or representing victims in complex truck accident claims, Adrian applies his litigation experience to fight for the best possible outcome.

Outside of the courtroom, Adrian is active in his church and dedicated to his community. He enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife and young child in his free time.
