A 20-year-old Ringgold man died after his Toyota Sienna left Louisiana Highway 154, struck a tree and caught fire in Bossier Parish on September 26, 2026.
Louisiana State Police Troop G responded around 5 a.m. near Springhill Church Road. The driver died at the scene. His name had not been released in the initial public report.
The Sienna Left the Eastbound Lane and Struck a Tree
The preliminary State Police account says the 2024 Toyota Sienna was traveling east on LA 154 when it left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The vehicle struck a tree and became fully engulfed in flames.
State Police said the severity of the crash prevented investigators from determining whether the driver was wearing a seat belt. Standard toxicology samples were submitted for analysis, but impairment remained unknown. That testing is an investigative step and does not establish that the driver was impaired.
Why the Vehicle Left the Road Remains Unknown
The central question is what caused the Sienna to leave the roadway. The initial report does not describe the vehicle’s speed, roadway conditions or any steering or braking before impact. It does not support a conclusion about driver conduct or another cause.
